Zusammenfassung

Dieser Bericht skizziert ein Bild laufender Entwicklungen der Rechnertechnik und verwandter Technologien und untersucht deren Auswirkungen auf die Leittechnik. Zunächst wird gezeigt, wie sich die Anwendung von Rechnern in der Automatisierung von kontinuierlichen hin zu diskreten Prozessen entwickelt hat.

Gerade bei der letztgenannten Anwendungsklasse gehört eine Vielzahl neuartiger CA-Techniken zum festen Bestandteil von Leitsystemen, sowohl in der Operationsphase als auch in der Entwurfs- und Testphase.

Eine kurze Übersicht über jüngste Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Hard- und Software von Rechnern schließt sich an. An ausgewählten Beispielen aus der Leittechnik wird die Anwendung dieser modernen Rechnertechnologien diskutiert. Dabei wird besonders auf die Rolle der digitalen Signalverarbeitung bei Bildverarbeitung und Maschinendiagnose sowie auf die Bedeutung wissensbasierter Ingenieurmethodiken eingegangen.
