Zusammenfassung
Ab 1985 wird die Deutsche Bundespost (DBP) ihr analoges Fernsprechnetz durch den kombinierten Einsatz von digitalen Vermittlungs- und digitalen Übertragungssystemen in ein digitales Fernsprechnetz überführen. Neben technischen, betrieblichen und vor allem auch wirtschaftlichen Vorteilen bietet ein digitales Fernsprechnetz die Voraussetzungen, ein dienstintegriertes Fernmeldenetz (ISDN) zu schaffen.
Abstract
Starting in 1985 the Deutsche Bundespost (DBP) will convert its analog telephone network into a digital network by combined implementation of both digital switching and digital transmission equipment. Apart from technical, operational and, in particular, economic advantages such an digital telephone network provides the prerequisite for establishing an ISDN.
