Abstract

In this paper we comment on comparative computational studies for mathematical programming, in particular the Papers by Miele and Gonzalez [3], Sandgren and Ragsdell [5], and Schittkowski [7], and give some of our views on this subject. We suggest the papers by Gill and Murray [2] and Moré [4], and the book they are contained in (Fosdick [1]), as other important reading on this subject.
