Zusammenfassung

Die Beobachtung des Krankheitsverlaufs und eine prognostische Beur teilung ist wichtig bei chronischen Erkrankungen, deren natürlicher Verlauf durch gefährliche Komplikationen gekennzeichnet ist. Ferner ist eine solche Beurteilung dann bedeutsam, wenn die Wirkung von Medikamenten oder anderen therapeutischen Maßnahmen, so z.B. von chirurgischen Eingriffen, beurteilt und der bestmögliche Zeitpunkt für ihren Einsatz gefunden werden soll.
