Zusammenfassung

Nach der Einführung einiger Grundbegriffe der graphischen Datenverarbeitung, wird die Grundstruktur heutiger graphischer Systeme insbesondere unter dem Aspekt der Geräteunabhängigkeit erläutert. Dann werden graphische Anwendungssysteme funktionell betrachtet und das Konzept eines integrierten graphischen Informationssystems eingeführt. Dieses wird am Beispiel des an der TH Darmstadt realisierten GRIFO-Systems näher erläutert. Abschließend werden einige Verfahren angegeben, mit denen die Wirtschaftlichkeit des Einsatzes graphischer Systeme, insbesondere unter Berücksichtigung der Kosteneffektivität und der Kostenreduzierung, analysiert werden kann.
