Abstract
The neuroanatomy of the hypothalamo-hypophysial system of the White- crowned Sparrow, Zonotrichia leucophrys gambelii, has been considered in light of the role of the hypothalamus in the control of the gonadotropic function of the pars distalis. Although research in this area is in flux, we do believe that there is some heuristic value in a presentation of our comprehensive neuroanatomical material.
