Abstract

During the last decade, a great majority of the young people in our high schools, colleges, and graduate schools have lost confidence in their elders, in themselves, in our system of government, and in the ideals and goals which had guided most of our people in earlier years. This has resulted in a profound disillusionment, shared to some degree by all people but expressed in quite emphatic terms by many of the more intelligent, idealistic, and impatient young men and women.
