Abstract

I have just heard Professor Salomon paint an extremely sombre picture of the gulfbeing created between society and science. As a representative of the Scientific Youth of Belgium, an association dedicated to encouraging boys and girls in grammar and high schools to opt for careers in science, I should like to point out that there are people who by their work and enthusiasm are doing a very great deal to bridge this gulf.
