Zusammenfassung

Wenn man über Tumoren der großen Speicheldrüsen — Glandulae parotis, submandibularis und sublingualis major — spricht, sind im allgemeinen die vom Drüsenparenchym im engeren Sinne ausgehenden Tumoren gemeint, die nach Rauch als Sialome zusammengefaßt werden. Die Sialome (echte parenchymale Tumoren) sind von den sog. Synsialomen (mesenchymalen Tumoren) abgegrenzt. Die Synsialome gehen nämlich von Blut- und Lymphgefäßen, Nerven oder vom interstitiellen Bindegewebe in den Speicheldrüsen aus. Beispiele solcher Synsialome sind Hämangiome, Lymphangiome, Neurinome, Fibrome, Lipome u. a. Sehr seltene Formen sind maligne Varianten von Synsialomen, nämlich Sarkome verschiedener Art. Bei Erwachsenen sind etwa 95% aller Tumoren Sialome. Bei Kindern kommt das Synsialom bedeutend häufiger vor als bei Erwachsenen und in diesem Fall besonders das Hämangiom und Lymphangiom. Seifert hat erwähnt, daß während des 1. Lebensjahres 95% aller Parotistumoren Hämangiome sind.
