Summary
After intravenous injection of 14C-U-glucose the specific radioactivity in the expired air of 2 patients with substituted pituitary insufficiency is increased. In one patient whose pituitary gland had been removed because of acromegaly the specific activity is constantly lowered. These results are due to disturbances in intermediary metabolism.
