Zusammenfassung
Phosphor und Schwefel gehören zu denjenigen Elementen, welche die Pflanze in relativ großer Menge für eine normale und gedeihliche Entwicklung benötigt. Beide Elemente werden in Form von Phosphat und Sulfat aus dem Boden durch die Wurzel aufgenommen und mit dem Transpirationsstrom in der Pflanze verteilt. Das schließt aber nicht aus, daß nicht auch andere P- und S-Verbindungen verfügbar gemacht werden können. Wenn auch der Phosphor anscheinend nur als Phosphat-Ion aufgenommen wird, so haben doch neben den bekannten, die Stoffaufnahme durch die Wurzel bestimmenden Faktoren, die Art der Phosphatsalze, ihre Löslichkeit und ihre Konzentration im Boden oder Bodenwasser einen wesentlichen Einfluß auf die Verfügbarkeit des Elements1.
