Zusammenfassung
Die bis heute noch sehr mangelhafte Kenntnis der Grundprozesse zahlreicher Ossifikationsstörungen bedingt es, daß eine Reihe gebräuchlicher Bezeichnungen vielfach uneinheitlich und z. T. in sachlich unzutreffender Weise verwendet wird. Das Verständnis von Morphogenese und resultierendem histopathologischen Bild setzt daher eine Definition der wichtigsten Begriffe voraus.
