Zusammenfassung

Die plötzliche Unterbrechung des Blutstromes in der VCI unterhalb der Nierenvenenmündungen hat im allgemeinen keine schwerwiegenden Folgen. Dagegen gilt die brüske Ligatur der Hohlvene oberhalb der Nierenvenenmündungen als mit dem Leben nicht vereinbar. Sie soll — entsprechend einem chirurgischen Dogma — zur tödlichen Urämie führen.
