Zusammenfassung

Mit der Entwicklung der Thoraxchirurgie hat die Bedeutung der anatomischen Varianten von Trachea, Bronchien und Lungen stark zugenommen Für die frühzeitige Erkennung dieser angeborenen Mißbildungen spielt die gute Zusammenarbeit zwischen Pädiatern, Radiologen, Bronchologen und Thoraxchirurgen oft eine entscheidende Rolle. Die Kenntnis der wesentlichen Anomalien bewahrt vor Fehldiagnosen und erleichtert die Beurteilung von Röntgenbildern; dem Anatomen und Embryologen ermöglicht sie die Interpretation gewisser Dysontogenien und phylogenetischer Zusammenhänge.
