Zusammenfassung

Die Vielfalt der Probleme, die heute in der Photosynthese-Forschung bearbeitet werden, verbietet es, in jedem Jahresbericht alle Aspekte dieses Gebietes dar zustellen. Zwar dürfte es von Jahr zu Jahr zunehmend schwieriger werden, klare Grenzen zwischen den mehr biophysikalischen und den überwiegend biochemisch orientierten Fragestellungen zu ziehen, doch scheint es — wenigstens vorläufig noch — möglich, die photochemischen Vorgänge an den Chromatophorenpigmenten sowie deren Synthese und Lokalisation von den übrigen Prozessen getrennt zu behandeln. Es ist daher beabsichtigt, in den folgenden Jahren jeweils abwechselnd diesen Problemkomplex und die mit der Wasserphotolyse, dem CO2-Einbau und der Photophosphorylierung zusammenhängenden Fragen zu referieren. Diesen Berichten sollen in unregelmäßiger Folge Besprechungen rein methodischer Arbeiten zur x\nzucht der Versuchsobjekte und zur Meßtechnik sowie Betrachtungen über die Photosynthese unter natürlichen Bedingungen angefügt werden.
