Zusammenfassung

Unter der Bezeichnung “A hitherto undescribed disease characterized anatomically by deposits of fat and fatty acids in the intestinal and mesenteric lymphatic tissues” erschien 1907 eine Arbeit von G. H. Whipple, M. D. aus dem Pathologischen Institut der Johns Hopkins University, in der über einen eigenartigen Krankheitszustand und den bei diesem erhobenen Obduktionsbefund berichtet wurde. Da Whipple bereits seinerzeit die Hauptmerkmale erkannte, gebe ich im folgenden einen kurzen Auszug aus dieser Veröffentlichung.
