Zusammenfassung

In den letzten 10 Jahren wurden auf dem Gebiete der Aortenchirurgie beachtliche Fortschritte erzielt. Ähnlich dem Herzen stellten die großen Körpergefäße bis dahin einen Körperabschnitt dar, welcher einem chirurgischen Eingriff praktisch nicht zugänglich war.

Wissenschaftlicher Assistent der Chir. Univ.-Klinik Heidelberg. Die nachstehend veröffentliche Arbeit entstand während eines Studienaufenthaltes in London, der durch ein großzügiges Stipendium des British Council ermöglicht wurde.
