Zusammenfassung
Der Aktivitätswechsel der Pflanzen kann durch viele äußere Faktoren induziert und reguliert werden. Wenn wir von solchen Regulationen sprechen, so denken wir in erster Linie an einen Aktivitätswechsel, bei dem endogene Komponenten beteiligt sind. Wir meinen also namentlich die Erscheinung der freiwilligen Ruhe oder des freiwilligen Wechsels von qualitativ verschiedenen Aktivitäten. Die Induktion einer nur unfreiwilligen Ruhe durch niedrigere Temperatur, durch Trockenheit usw. soll hier nicht so sehr interessieren1.
