Zusammenfassung

Die Technik der freien Hautverpflanzung1 hat in den letzten 10 Jahren eine Verfeinerung erfahren, die eine Abgrenzung der Leistungsfähigkeit der verschiedenen Transplantationsmethoden (Reverdin, Thiersch, Wolfe Usw.) mit sich brachte, in der Weise, daß heute nicht nur jeder Verpflanzungsart, sondern auch jeder Lappendicke ihre eigene Indikation zuzuweisen ist. Um dies zu erhärten, mußte der Versuch unternommen werden, einerseits durch kritische Sichtung der Erfahrungstatsachen und andererseits durch histologische Studien der Anheilungs- vorgänge jene Grundlagen zu schaffen, von denen aus den mannigfachen Fragenkomplexen mit mehr Objektivität entgegen getreten werden kann, als dies bisher der Fall war.
