Zusammenfassung

Die Pilze, die die Mykosen hervorrufen, sind niedere Pflanzen, denen das Chlorophyll fehlt. Sie wachsen auf verwesendem organischen Substrat, seltener auf lebendem Gewebe. Da sie kein Chlorophyll haben, benötigen sie zum Wachstum auch kein Licht und können sich somit auch inmitten pflanzlichen oder tierischen Gewebes entwickeln.
