Zusammenfassung

Albright und seine Mitarbeiter (8, 9) interpretierten die Kombination von Osteitis disseminata, Pigmentation und endokriner Dysfunktion (vorzeitige Pubertät bei Mädchen) als ein einheitliches Syndrom. Es wurde unter verschiedenen Namen beschrieben und wird heute entweder als Albrightsches Syndrom, als polyostotische fibröse Dysplasie oder als fibröse Dysplasie der Knochen bezeichnet. Es ist nicht selten. Jedes Jahr werden neue Fälle publiziert. Auf Grund dieser Publikationen und unserer eigenen Beobachtungen sei eine kritische Zusammenfassung versucht, um Albrights Beschreibung und Anschauung, ebenso wie die späterer Autoren, nachzuprüfen.
