Zusammenfassung

Geschwülste der Nebennieren gehen getrennt entweder von der Rindenschicht oder von der Markschicht aus und zwar entsprechend der ontogenetischen Entwicklung, der zufolge sich die Nebenniere aus 2 Anlagen zusammensetzt und zusammenfindet. Die Rindenzellen, morphologisch und funktionell eng verwandt mit den Luteinzellen der Ovarien und den interstitiellen Zellen des Hodens stammen aus dem Mesoderm, die Markzellen, die vom Sympathicussystem herkommen, aus dem Ektoderm. Rinde und Mark unterscheiden sich durch die Farbe. Die Rinde, etwa 80 bis 90% des gesamten Organs ausmachend, ist infolge ihres Gehaltes an Lipoiden, insbesondere an Cholesterin und an gelbem Pigment gelb, das Mark ist weißlich grau gefärbt und besitzt hohe Affinität zu Chromsalzen, unter deren Einwirkung Braunfärbung auftritt.
