Zusammenfassung
Proteolytische Fermente sind ein ubiquitärer Bestandteil des Fermentsystems der menschlichen Zelle. Sie dienen zum Auf- und Abbau von Zelleiweiß, zum Aufschluß der Nahrungsproteine im Magen-Darmkanal, zur Beseitigung unerwünschter, teils körpereigener, teils körperfremder Eiweißkörper aus dem Organismus, und sie spielen eine wesentliche Rolle im Gerinnungsmechanismus des Blutes, bei der Auflösung eines Blutgerinnsels, sowie bei der Bildung hormonartiger Stoffe. Mit dem Nachweis proteolytischer Fermente können wir somit einen Einblick in diese Vorgänge gewinnen und oft wertvolle diagnostische Schlüsse, vor allem bei pathologischen Vorgängen, erhalten.
