Zusammenfassung

Das bekannte Werk von R. Geiger „Das Klima der bodennahen Luftschicht“ ist in zweiter, völlig umgearbeiteter Auflage erschienen (Braunschweig 1942), ebenso Laatsch „Dynamik der deutschen Acker- und Waldböden“ (2. Aufl., Dresden und Leipzig 1944). Auf die deutsche Übersetzung der 3. Auflage von G. W. Robinson „Die Böden, ihre Entstehung, Zusammensetzung und Einteilung“ (499 Seiten, Berlin 1939) sei nachträglich hingewiesen, werden doch in diesem Buch die für den Ökologen so wichtigen Bodentypen der gesamten Welt ausführlich behandelt. Viele ökologisch wichtige Fragen findet man in der „Einführung in die Probleme der Agrarmeteorologie“ von F. Schnelle (Ulmer, 1948) besprochen. Neu ist auch die darin enthaltene phänologische Karte der Winterweizenernte in Europa. Die allgemeine Standortslehre wird von H. Walter in Band III der „Einführung in die Phytologie“ behandelt, wobei in der 1. Lieferung der Wärmefaktor besprochen wird (Ulmer, 1949), während die 2. Lieferung dem Wasserfaktor vorbehalten bleibt. Einschlägige ausländische Werke konnten noch nicht eingesehen werden.

Eine Reihe von Arbeiten, die vor 1945 erschienen waren und hier referiert werden sollten, sind durch die Kriegsereignisse in Verlust geraten. Sie konnten z. T. nicht wiederbeschafft werden. Die Verfasser werden um nochmalige Zusendung gebeten, damit die Besprechung im nächsten Band nachgeholt werden kann (Anschrift des Ref.: Botanisches Institut der Landw. Hochschule, (14a) Stuttgart-Hohenheim.). Dem Geobotanischen Forschungsinstitut Rübel in Zürich verdanke ich die Möglichkeit der Einsichtnahme in einige ausländische Zeitschriften.
