Diese Beamten sind gewählt durch den Lord Chancellor, den Lord Chief Justice und den Master of the Rolls, abwechselnd bald von jenem, bald von diesem. Die masters müssen entweder barristers sein oder solicitors, welche schon 5 Jahre praktiziert haben.
