Zusammenfassung
Eine Reihe von systemischen Vaskulitiden und rheumatologischen Erkrankungen kann zu einer Beteiligung des Nervensystems führen. Bei der Gruppe der systemischen Angiitiden sind dies v.a. die Panarteritis nodosa und das Churg-Strauss-Syndrom, bei den Kollagenkrankheiten vornehmlich der systemische Lupus erythematodes und das Sjögren-Syndrom. Während bei allen diesen Erkrankungen die kombinierte Behandlung mit Kortikosteroiden und Immunsuppressiva (in der Regel Cyclophosphamid) Medikation der ersten Wahl ist, liegen Erfahrungen zum Einsate von Immunglobulinen bei einzelnen Krankheitsbildern vor. Allerdings handelt es sich fast ausschließlich um offene, nicht kontrollierte Studien oder Einzelfallbeobachtungen. Randomisierte Studien liegen zur Therapie des Kawasaki-Syndroms vor.
