Zusammenfassung

Während in der Erwachsenenmedizin die Meningitis nach wie vor ein seltenes Ereignis (3-10 Fälle pro 100 000 Personen) ist, kommt die akute bakterielle Meningitis bei Kindern häufiger vor (10,14).
