Zusammenfassung
Bakterielle ZNS-Erkrankungen stellen bis heute eine zahlenmäßig umfangreiche Krankheitsgruppe dar. Je nach Grundleiden und primärer Manifestation werden sie auf Infektionsstationen, in Neurologischen und Neurochirurgischen Kliniken, in Kinderkliniken, auf Intensivstationen verschiedener Disziplin und in Psychiatrischen Kliniken behandelt. Selbst Psychiatrische Kliniken sind mitunter die erstbehandelnden Einrichtungen, sofern das jeweilige Leiden mit psychotischen Symptomen, Verhaltensstörungen oder als Demenzprozeß in Erscheinung tritt.
