Van der Waals interactions in three-phase emulsions

Abstract

The stability of two-phase emulsions is at present reasonably well understood (1–3). In such emulsions one liquid is dispersed in another in the form of macroscopic droplets and the flocculation and coalescence processes are treated as the colloid stability of particles and thin liquid films (4–10).
