Zusammenfassung

Der Mensch lebt mit seiner Umwelt und gegen sie. Die eine Hälfte dieses Kampfes ist chemisch, und er gewinnt oder verliert, je nachdem Nahrung, Luft, Hitze und Wasser seinen physiologischen Bedürfnissen entsprechen oder nicht. Die andere Hälfte ist biologisch.

Wodurch entsteht Vergiftung? Wodurch Erbrechen? Wodurch Grieß und Stein? Wodurch Raserei infolge Krankheit? Wie kommt es, daß ein Mensch einschläft, wenn man seine Arterien zusammendrückt?
