Nachdem die Auswahlphase (vgl. Kapitel 4) mit einer konkreten Entscheidung für einen bestimmten CIM/CIE-Baustein eines bestimmten Software-Anbieters abgeschlossen werden konnte, gilt es nun, alle innerbetrieblichen Vorbereitungen zu treffen, daß dieser Baustein erfolgreich inbetriebgenommen werden kann.
