Zusammenfassung
Die Invagination ist die häufigste Ursache für einen Darmverschluß im Kindesalter, der Häufigkeitsgipfel liegt zwischen dem 6. Monat und dem 2. Lebensjahr. Die klinische Symptomatik tritt oft akut unter dem Bild eines akuten Abdomens auf. Eine inkomplette Invagination kann jedoch auch chronisch auftreten und so zu rezidivierenden, uncharakteristischen Abdominalbeschwerden führen.
