161 Augen mit Nd-YAG-Kapsulotomie nach Kataraktoperation mit vollständig in den Kapselsack implantierten IOL 1–3 Jahre zuvor wurden nach 24 ° 6 Monaten untersucht. Es wurde weder ein zystoides Makulaödem (CME), noch eine Netzhautablösung noch ein laserinduziertes Glaukom gefunden.

Demzufolge scheint das Risiko bei einer YAG-Kapsulotomie in Augen mit vollständig in den Kapselsack implantierten Linsen kleiner zu sein als bei einer Nachstarabsaugung in Augen mit sulkusimplantierten Linsen.


A total of 161 eyes with Nd : YAG laser posterior capsulotomy after in the bag IOL implantation 1–3 years ago were actively followed over a period of 24 ° 6 months. No CME, retinal detachment, or induced glaucoma was found. Therefore a YAG capsulotomy in eyes with completely in the bag implanted IOL seems to assure a better level of security than capsular polishing in eyes with sulcus implanted lenses.
