Zusammenfassung
Dieser Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die Methylenblau (MB)- und die Solvent/Detergent (SD)-Behandlung von Plasma zur Inaktivierung von lipidumhüllten Viren. Ein wichtiges Merkmal der SD-Behandlung ist die Notwendigkeit, Plasma verschiedener Spender zu poolen. Unabhängig von anderen Aspekten enthält Poolen das Risiko, Infektionen zu streuen, während MB-Plasma von einzelnen Spendern kein größeres Risiko als konventionelles Plasma bietet. Jedoch ist die SD-Methode erheblich besser untersucht und hat dabei eine adäquate Wirksamkeit fur die „Problem“-Viren HIV, HBV und HCV gezeigt, obwohl die Virussicherheit von Faktorenkonzentraten nicht erreicht ist.
