Zusammenfassung

Clozapin ist ein Antipsychotikum, das nunmehr seit über 30 Jahren in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern und seit kurzer Zeit auch in den USA registriert ist. Die Wirksamkeit sowie gewisse Vorteile gegenüber herkömmlichen Antipsychotika (v. a. im Bereich extrapyramidalmotorischer Nebenwirkungen) sind gut dokumentiert (Baldessarini u. Frankenburg 1991; Claghorn et al. 1987; Goodwin 1991; Kane et al. 1981, 1988; Meltzer et al. 1991; Naber u. Hippius 1990; Perez Urdaniz et al. 1990; Pilowsky et al. 1992).
