Abstract

The Zeeman effect in the hydrogen-like atoms (ZEHA) is a problem of remarkable interest in several physic and chemistry fields, and was discussed in Chapter IX. Likewise, the VFM (developed in Chapter V) was applied to the ZEHA in Chapter X. Quite accurate results were obtained by taking into account the asymptotic properties of eigenvalues of the model Hamiltonian.
