Starke, chronische, tumorbedingte Schmerzen, die anderweitig nicht (mehr) beherrschbar sind, sollten nach heutigen Erkenntnisen vorerst mit oralen Opiaten (bzw. Opioiden) gemäß adaptiertem Stufenschema angegangen werden [2,5–8].
