Abstract
This session has presented the application of various methodologies of objective medical decision-making to diabetes, a chronic disease of increasing social importance in western industrialized nations. The approaches presented have included dynamic test selection, statistical and physiological modeling, computer supported decision systems and expert systems. The following lines emerged from the various presentations.
