An Approach to the Microcomputer-Network System in the Hungarian National Institute of Cardiology

Abstract

On the last MIE meeting (Brussels, 1984), the authors presented some microcomputer-based systems [6–8]. Based on those and similar results [2–5, 11] we have initiated the development of a hospital microcomputer network [1,9]. A network of 8-bit microcomputers is installed in the Hungarian National Cardiological Institute. This network (presently, as a first phase of development) covers two inpatient departments and the admission as well as the personnel department and a fifth workstation dedicated to the developments.
