Amputationen auf Kniehöhe

Zusammenfassung

In der Vergangenheit wurden Amputationen auf Kniehöhe wenig befürwortet wegen der Schwierigkeit der prothetischen Versorgung und der mangelhaften Kosmetik; mit neueren chirurgischen Techniken und verbesserten Prothesen wurde dieses Verfahren in jenen Fällen immer populärer, bei denen keine Unterschenkelamputation möglich war.
