Summary
In order to achieve a more reliable clinical decision making procedure Kuusela and Lang (1) suggested that a statistical reference model should replace the conventional reference values. The adequate usage of the system requires, however, a computer. This paper deals with the implementation of the model on a microcomputer connected to the central computer of a hospital running under MUMPS. In this way adequate data maintenance and computations fast enough were achieved.
