Abstract
This work has been aimed at reviewing and analyzing the theoretical aspects of rate processes in condensed media. The consideration has been undertaken at three different levels: (1) general quantum mechanical, (2) derivation and analysis of equations of motion, and (3) concrete models and calculation of transition rates.
