Abstract

MCD and especially LD spectroscopy contains numerous examples of important experimental information that has been left unused or even severely misinterpreted (51). In this chapter a discussion will be given of some major problems involved in the understanding of observed LD and MCD spectra of organic molecules, and a general method for the interpretation of LD spectra will be described.
