Kiron: A Computer-Assisted Method for the Management and the Analysis of Clinical Data in the Diagnosis of Erythroid Disorders

KIRON is a new time-sharing, information storage, retrieval and analysis system, utilized for the management and the analysis of clinical erythrokinetic data. It supports the creation, construction and maintenance of a data base of patient’s clinical records, the data pre-elaboration and the evaluation of stored information via mathematical models, in order to compute diagnostically useful clinical parameters, which can be stored again in the data base for extensive analysis. All the system’s modules can operate in a fully interactive way through a teletypewriter terminal, all operations requiring only a few user-friendly commands.
