The Correspondence System as a Method of Interdependence Measurement in Comparative Development Analyses

  • J. Bajec

Abstract

The author has made an attempt to apply the Correspondence Systems as a Method of Interdependence Measurement in Comparative Development Analyses. By means of a set of selected socio-economic indicators he has constructed development profiles for three ‘types’ of countries-developed capitalist, socialist and developing countries and also carried out their comparative analysis. The aim of the paper is to define alternative development paths by means of the above-mentioned method and the systems approach to the integral development process instead of unique development trajectories for all countries, which have often been suggested.
