Cybernetic Approach to The Management of Economic Systems

  • Chapter
Current Topics in Cybernetics and Systems

Abstract

The paper deals with the problems of the application of simulation models in management of economic systems. It presents a new concept of management cycle in large-scale systems. Comparative analyses about the use of simulation models in management cycle’s phases are performed. Emphasis is laid on man’s role in computer simulation, i.e. on the combination of machine’s computing capacity, decision-maker’s intuition and experience and heuristic capabilities.
