Abstract
A CAI system to teach notions of programming using a Portuguese version of the Basic Language (PBASICO) was implemented in a Brazilian minicomputer, the G-10. The communication between the CAI system and the user was restricted to a set of simple commands that permits only a fixed way of following the PBASICO course. This work describes an extension of the first CAI system designed. The extension aims to allow a more natural way for communicating with the system, i.e. by means of a subset of the Portuguese language.
