Abstract
A real n-space V, a subgroup G of 0(n) acting on V, and real functions defined on V are the ingredients for constructing multi-level models. The goal of these models, based on directions and orientations rather than on levels or configurations, are different: (1) Conserving these G-directions; (2) modifying some directions; (3) using G-monotone real functions; (4) adding or eliminating directions; (5) letting two sets of directions interact etc.
