Abstract

This paper presents the main problems of the 1980’s as follows:

    Multi-functionalizing of hand mechanisms;

  2. (2)

    Development of a walking machine;

  3. (3)

    Information processing with multi-micro-processors;

  4. (4)

    Large scale projects.

Particular attention, however, will be paid to trends in Japan.
