Zusammenfassung
Im Zusammenhang mit der Einteilung der Metallkationen (siehe Kapitel 2) sollen hier einige Daten der Atomspektroskopie betrachtet werden. Insofern Mehrelektronensysteme in der Theorie ausgehend vom Einelektronenproblem her aufgebaut werden können, lassen sich die Zustände eines atomaren Systems nach Konfigurationen klassifizieren. Die Elektronenkonfiguration ist keine Observable; indem jedoch eine Konfiguration innerhalb der Theorie zu Folgerungen über Observable führt, läßt sich eine Zuordnung von Observablen her durchführen. Einelektronenfunktionen (= Orbitale) des Einzentren-Einelektronenproblems haben die allgemeine Form (12.1) (Koordinatenbeziehungen siehe Kapitel 2, S. 17).
